January 20th, 2011
We have FC Barcelona tickets for all competitions at the Nou Camp

Barcelona suffered their first defeat in several months last night, when they were beaten 3-1 by Betis. The hosts were really going for it, with two goals within 7 minutes and it was only Messi who saved some face for Barça with a goal in the 37th minute – although that didn’t stop Betis from scoring a third goal just before the half time whistle.

However, with 5-0 to their name in the home leg, FC Barcelona goes through anyway, and will face Almeria next week at the Nou Camp. You can find tickets available on the home page.

Goalless draw for Barça in Copy del Rey

December 22nd, 2010

After a series of spectacular wins involving goals galore, the inevitable happened last night at the Nou Camp; a goalless draw against Athletic de Bilbao.

The match was for the Copa del Rey, so not vitally important, but it is a reminder that however good a team is, it is the end result matters. The return takes place in two weeks.

5-1 victory against Ceuta

November 11th, 2010

An unfamiliar side walked onto the pitch last night as FC Barcelona faced AC Ceuta in the Copa del Rey. While Ceuta may be an unfamiliar sight in the Nou Camp, so was the Barça squad, with Bojan as captain.

However, despite fielding a squad largely composed of B team players, the Catalans dominated from the start. In the first seven minutes the scored two goals although Ceuta got one back 10 minutes before the break.

After the break Pedro opened the scoring for Barcelona, with Bojan adding a forth goal quart of an hour later. And with Leo Messi coming on in the 61st minute, it was almost certain that the Argentinian would add one to Barça’s tally – he did exactly that in the 68th minute.

The result means that Barça goes through to the next round of the Copa del Rey.

Barça beats AD Ceuta in Copa del Rey

October 27th, 2010

Maxwell and Pedro were the stars last night as FC Barcelona beat lowly AD Ceuta 2-0 in the Copa del Rey. Barça’s lineup was very much a B team, with most big name players absent.

0-1 Maxwell (min 15)
0-2 Pedro (min 25)

Barça knocked out of Copa del Rey

January 14th, 2010

Well it had to happen eventually – despite beating Sevilla 1-0 away last night, FC Barcelona departed the Copa del Rey on aggregate after their 2-1 defeat at the Nou Camp. While the first half lacked any real opportunities, Barcelona dominated the second half.

However, it was only in the 63rd minute that Xavi scored after receiving the ball from Iniesta. Barça kept on going until the final whistle despite time wasting by Sevilla in injury time to ensure the visiting team didn’t get the opportunity they needed to go through to the next round.

Barcelona face Sevilla once more on Saturday, when the Andalusians visit the Nou Camp in the Spanish League. Check out forthcoming fixtures and availability of Barcelona tickets on the homepage.

0-1 Xavi (min 63)

Barcelona disappoints in Copa del Rey

January 6th, 2010

Gabriel Milito returned to active duty against Sevilla last night after an 18 month layoff due to a knee injury, but a disappointing performance in poor weather conditions meant that Barça need to pull out all the steps in the return leg of the Copa del Rey next week.

The Barça squad included some unfamiliar faces in the form of Thiago’s debut along with Pinto and Chygrynskiy, but first team regulars such as Messi, Alves and Iniesta couldn’t overcome Sevilla’s well organised play. Commenting after the match, Pep Guadiola took responsibility for the result.

0-1, Capel (min 63)
1-1, Ibrahimovic (min 73)
1-2, Negredo (min 75)

Copa del Rey: Barça through, Real Madrid knocked out

November 11th, 2009

Last night’s 5-0 defeat of Cultural Leonesa was in stark contrast with Real Madrid, who were knocked out of the Copa del Rey by lowly Alcorcon; despite beating Alcorcon 1-0 at the Bernabeu, Madrid lost 4-1 on aggregate and were jeered by their own fans.

Barça on the other hand went through with flying colours in the cold that has descended on Barcelona. In retrospect the first half seems like it was merely a warm up, with all five of Barcelona’s goals being scored in the second 45 minutes.

1-0 Bojan (min 50)
2-0 Bojan (min 54)
3-0 Pedro(min 62)
4-0 Messi (min 64)
5-0 Xavi (min 74)
