Barcelona’s persistance paid off in the final minute of the second half when they equalized against Valencia in the first leg the Copa del Rey semi-final.
Having failed to capitalize on some early opportunities, Barcelona were determined not to let the visitors win. Clearly the better team, Valencia seemed to possess an impenetrable defense. However, a blast from Xavi with a few seconds remaining on the clock saw that Valencia’s advantage was minimized.
The return match takes place on March 20th.
