Barça retains points gap at top of La Liga »
FC Barcelona remained six points clear of Real Madrid on Saturday, after both teams won their matches.
Barça made the trip to play Getafe, which in the past has been over aggressive, but the home team seemed calmer this weekend. The result was decided in minute 19, when Leo Messi scored the only goal of the match. Barcelona dominated the rest of the match, not allowing Getafe to make any serious attack on the goal.
However, the referee made some poor decisions, including unwarranted yellow cards, and Messi had a second goal incorrectly disallowed for offside, while Eto’o’s great attack was deflected onto the post by the Getafe keeper.
