Champions League semi to be decided at Stamford Bridge »
With matches against Chelsea and Real Madrid this week, arguably the most important week of this season for Barça, Saturday’s 2-2 draw against Valencia couldn’t have come at a worse time. Madrid were pitched against Sevilla, who they dispatched with a 4-2 win, closing up the gap behind Barcelona to just 4 points, with 9 points remaining in the league.
Messi put FC Barcelona in the lead in the 23rd minute, but two goals from Valencia in the space of a few minutes at the end of the first half looked as if they were going to decide things. While it was an entertaining match, this was Barcelona looking far from their strongest, but just when it looked as if they’d walk away with no points Henry scored just minutes from the final whistle.
0-1, Messi (min 23)
1-1, Maduro (min 42)
2-1, Pablo H. (min 45)
2-2, Henry (min 86)
