Real Madrid slipped on Saturday, creating a window of opportunity for Barcelona to close the gap. However, with 9 players injured, Almeria managed to slip 2 goals into the back of the net, matching Barça’s own goal scoring.

The result is sorely disappointing to players and fans alike and questions are being asked about the future of Frank Rijkaard. Madrid remain at the top of the table with 62 points, with Barcelona on 55 and Villarreal on 53.
